Ralph Hoyett Crenshaw

November 13, 1925 ~ July 3, 2014 (age 88) 88 Years Old
            Ralph Hoyett Crenshaw was born on November 13, 1925 in Konawa, Oklahoma under the union of Elmer Crenshaw and Ara Lucille Bickerstaff. At the age of 17 he joined the Navy where he served for a total of 30 years; 20 years in active duty and 10 years in the Navy Reserves. During his 30 years in the Navy he served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam War. He received different awards during his service for all of his hard work. He was known by his Navy buddies as “termites” because of his small and skinny stature. Ralph loved his country and served very proudly. After his retirement from the military he started working for MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) in Los Angeles as a bus operator. He worked there for 23 dedicated years until his retirement. He got married to his loving wife Estrella Crenshaw in the Philippines on September 08, 1999. Ralph was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and best friend. With him, there was never a dull moment he was always on the go. He will be remembered for his strength, generosity, hard work, and the love he shared with all his friends and family. Ralph loved traveling, listening to county music and WWE. He followed Benny Hinn and Jimmy Swaggart. He volunteered his time to Benny Hinn Ministries, was a member of the American Legion and a life member of the VFW Post 11194.
            Ralph is survived by his wife Estrella Crenshaw, 3 sons; Robert Harold Crenshaw, Richard Charles Crenshaw and Randolph Mac Crenshaw. His sister’s; Wilma Lamb, Frances Norback, Melba Austin, Bonnie Spooner. 12 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

           Funeral services are being held on Tuesday July 15, 2014 at Evans Brown Mortuary in Sun City, CA. The viewing is from 8:30-12PM with the services at 11am,burial to follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 12:45PM.

The family is inviting everyone for a reception at Hometown Buffet in the 2nd floor at the Moreno Valley Mall in Moreno Valley, CA from 2-4PM after the services.
