David Horn

David Horn was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on September 11, 1946 and passed away at home in Menifee, California on February 20, 2017.  He is survived by his 3 children Melissa Ochoa and her husband Tim, Dana Montez, & Michael Horn; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren. 

David proudly served in the US Army in Vietnam.  Professionally, he worked as a Sergeant for the Department of Corrections for 18 years.  David loved sports.  Over the years he enjoyed coaching his daughters’ and grandchildren’s softball teams.  He also like watching NASCAR and following the Colts and college sports, especially USC.  David’s other hobbies included reading books, eating homemade meals and watching westerns. 

David was looked upon as a mentor by many that knew him.  He was a great provider that never stopped taking care of his family.  His strong-willed spirit will be greatly missed.  A celebration of his life will be held on Thursday March 2, 2017 at 9:30 am at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel.  Inurnment will immediately follow at Olivewood Cemetery with military honors.
