OBITUARY

Elton “Bill” Campbell was born on November 16, 1926 in Ringland, Oklahoma. A proud Christian, he was the third of nine children born to William and Bertha Campbell, and moved to California when he was 14 years old. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Navy in July of 1946. That December he married his wife Lorna and had five children. Lorna passed away in 1968 and Bill met and married his wife Glenna, whom he shared 48 years of marriage together. Bill spent 35 years with the Southern California Edison Company in Ventura, and then as a Edison City Manager of Lake Elsinore, CA, retiring in 1986. He was also the President of the Rotary Club and Chamber of Commerce of Lake Elsinore in the 1970s, where he also held a term in the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission. Bill was a lifetime member of the Elks lodge and president of the Golf Club for a while at Elks Lodge 2591. An avid golfer, woodworker and pilot, he also enjoyed sailing the seas of Ventura and San Diego. Bill passed peacefully at home on February 1, 2018 with his wife beside him.

Elton was preceded in death by his parents William and Bertha Campbell; his siblings Devada, Jowanna, Helen, Carrol Wayne, Kenny and Elton's twin brother Delton, his two sons Craig and Alan, and his step-daughter Linda Williams.

Bill leaves behind his wife Glenna, his two daughters, Anne Plusko (Tom), Patricia Campbell, and son David, step-son Randy Williams, step-daughter Karen Woodward (Bobby), two brothers Jerry Campbell (Kathy) and Coy Dean Campbell (Beth) to live with his memory. He also has 17 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and a whole host of Nieces and Nephews, and his 9 year-old shiatzu companion for life “Missy” and many friends who will miss and remember him always.
