Mary Kurkjian

Mary Joseph Kurkjian was born in Jerusalem, Jordan on December 25, 1918, Mary was the third of eight children born to Khalil and Jamila Sayage. Mary passed away at her home in Temecula, California on March 21, 2017. She is survived by her two children Rudolph and Sylvia Kurkjian and her granddaughter Angelina Kurkjian.
After the death of her husband Joseph Kurkjian in 1973, Mary devoted her life to her two children sacrificing every comfort to ensure their success. Mary loved people and always sparked up conversations with strangers while out and about. People loved to hear her stories of her life and was an inspiration to many, both young and old. She loved nature and being outdoors. Hiking, garden-gazing, and looking at flowers were her most favorite past-times. She also enjoyed cooking, entertaining, knitting, & Art needlepoint.
Mary was a religious woman who enjoyed reading scriptures from the Bible and Christian devotional literature. Her delightful sense of humor and clever quick-wit are just some of the things her family and friends will most truly miss.
A viewing will be held on Sunday March 26, 2017 at 10:00 AM with a service at 11:00 AM at Evans-Brown Sun City Chapel; Reception will immediately follow at 12 noon.
