I had left messages on his phone for Mike to call me back ever since he left our mutual employer in about 2008 (CFAA auto auction in Obetz, Ohio, a Columbus suburb, in about 2008), but I never heard back from him. I knew he had worked in government service for many years, as had I. I am so sorry to hear that he is gone. What a hilarious wit, a true genius, an astute observer of the true character of people, and a kind humanitarian. All the time, he was giving rides to homeless and poor co-workers and even utter strangers, and he never accepted any compensation or favors. Mike was good at imitating the life lessons of Jesus Christ and at giving what he could in the spirit of humble charity and love for all mankind. He never complained about anything and kept his troubles to himself. Mike was always one to keep you smiling and laughing. I truly miss him. Prayers go to his loved ones, who I am sure feel the pangs of loss even today. He is not one soon to be forgotten, for he touched so many lives with his enormous heart. Thanks Mike for brightening my life and bringing me joy. I hope to see you again one day. God bless, and rest in peace, dear friend.

I worked with MICHAEL at Joliet, Il.
He was my mentor and introduced me to my wife, Peggy (she was MICHAEL's barber). Too many memories to recount, 2 trips to Vegas, Motor home trip to Atlantic City for the opening of the first casino there. The Grand Prix at Watkins Glen and many more! I lost track of him around 2009 or so. Please accept my wife, Peggy and my late condolences for your and our loss.
