Mildred Irene (Onder) Richardson

Mildred I. Richardson, 90, passed away at the High Shoals Nursing Home, in Bishop, Georgia on February 6, 2018. She was born January 25, 1928 to Anna Mirdo and John Onder on a small farm in Conneaut, Pennsylvania. Her family later moved to Warren, Ohio where she attended school and graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in 1947.
Mildred loved to dance and socialize at the school clubs and her first job after high school was as a cashier in a local supermarket. Shortly after graduation from high school, she relocated to Fontana, California with her parents and younger brother where she worked in a jewelry store. She met and married Walker LeRoy Richardson in June 1949. They traveled around the country living in North Carolina, Florida, and Southern California. After Walker retired from the service they moved to Idaho, where Mildred, who loved to sew, started a line of handmade dolls. She loved trying new things such as cake decorating and candy making. She also opened her own candy store selling candy from an addition to their home. Mildred loved to cook and bake, as well as can foods from their garden. She often entered her canned foods in the local county fairs and winning many blue ribbons.
Mildred is survived by her six children and their spouses, Sharon Nixon (Dennis), Curtis Richardson (Linda), Mark Richardson (Tanis), Karen Pecora (John), David Richardson (Nancy) and Rebecca Grahek, including 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, a sister Martha Bartlett (Ohio), a brother Joseph Onder (California), as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband Walker LeRoy Richardson.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 pm on February 17th at Evans Brown Mortuary, 126 E. Graham, Lake Elsinore. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 19th, 10 am at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, 21591 Lemon St., Wildomar; burial following the mass is at 1:15 pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside. Family and friends are gathering following the burial at The Redlands Clubhouse, 140 W. Pioneer Avenue, Redlands.
