AJANNI JUAN CABRERA

March 25, 2001 - ETERNITY

A son of God!  Ajanni knows Jesus and Jesus knows Ajanni. Hallelujah!

Ajanni is a man of honor, influence, compassion and love!  A man with a smile and spirit so radiant it drives out all the darkness in the atmosphere.  His heart for those he loves and even for strangers on the street alike, is pure and without end.  He is a man of intellect, wisdom and a profound thinker.  His theory on the origin of salt in the oceans is fascinating; you should hear it!

He is affectionately known as AJ Eastside Baaby to his many friends and peers.  He loves fast cars.  He loves a lit turn up; nevermind the fact that he was sometimes off in the corner eating a bag of chips by himself, he was still having fun!  He is a man of great thought and strategy; his legendary pranks attest to this.  The ketchup with the vacuum is definitely one of his favorites!  Ajanni is sharp with his tongue, precise with his words, rooted in his conviction, he speaks his truth with power and a Boston swag.  Strength does come in skinny packages; we’ve seen the videos and some people really did get knocked out.  Even back when it was only but a bird-cage, Ajanni always sticks his chest out with confidence and walks tall and strong as a man.

Ajanni loves to travel and he also loves to eat. As long as it's not a vegetable. He always thought that he would never eat a vegetable a day in his life. Now the truth can be revealed; his mother used to secretly blend vegetables into some of his favorite dishes. Oh yes, he also doesn't eat cheese, but he does like cheese pizza.

Ajanni’s focus, determination and work ethics allows him to make his dreams a reality.  He graduated high-school and went to work immediately!  Most recently, Ajanni was promoted to certified fork-lift operator at his job at Living Spaces.  He often worked six days, 60 hours a week because he was saving to go to trade school to become a welder.  He brought his car “cash money!  He had to go to two banks not one!  That’s how you know he was up”! Always responsible with money, Ajanni was planning to invest his hard-earned money in real estate in Boston, San Diego and Atlanta.

He is a spiritual brother to Avery de la Cruz, James “Deuce” Shinault, Larry Nichols, Jr and Jacob Snider.  Ajanni’s always straight, he’s good bro!  Live Life and never leave your wallet at home!

Ajanni Loves Jenna Bagonghasa and Jenna loves Ajanni.  Ajanni calls her, “My Lady” but Empress calls her, “Majanni’s One True Love”.  Both are equally true.

Ajanni is the firstborn of 6 and he takes joy in going first to pave the way for them.  He is a fierce and loyal protector, provider, teacher, confidante and friend to his brothers, Messiah, Jahir, Noah and Truth.  Whether on the basketball court talking trash, at home watching anime, wrestling in the living room, running through sprinklers in the yard or cruising in the streets, he always makes sure that his brothers know he loves them and is there for them.  He was planning to get a concealed carry permit specifically for his only sister, Empress.  Until that time came, however, he is quite comfortable and happy playing with dolls, playing Super Mario Kart videogames, coloring and play-fighting with her.  She is also the only one who can call him “Majanni”.

Ajanni is an honorable son to his mother, Reina Jackson (nee O’Marde), step-father, Duwan Jackson and biological father, Juan Cabrera.  Nevermind our bald-head and the gray patches of hair, it is an extraordinary privilege and an indescribable joy of a lifetime to be your parents.  We are well-pleased and so very proud of you, Son.  We love you forever Ajanni!

Ajanni is survived by mother, Reina Jackson (nee O’Marde) and step-father, Duwan Jackson.  Father, Juan Cabrera.  Brothers, Messiah Cabrera, Jahir O’Marde, Noah Jackson and Truth Jackson.  Sister, Empress Jackson.  Great-grandmothers, Cutie C. Knight and Ruth O’Marde.  Grandmothers, Blanca Ortega (deceased), Denise O’Marde and Brenda Williams. Grandfathers Anderson O’Marde and Juan Cabrera. Aunts, Oniqueca O’Marde-Belle, Keisha O’Marde-Jack, Blanca Rodriguez, Madeline de la Cruz, Tomeka Williams, Julisa Turner, Carise Bernard.  Uncles Ambe O’Marde (deceased) and Jamal Turner.  Many many cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.

Ajanni was born in Beverly, MA and raised in the Mattapan Section of Boston, MA.  He later moved to Menifee, CA in December 2014 where he continued to reside up to the date of his transition to Eternity.

Ajanni’s name means “King”, “He who wins the struggle”.  By the grace of God, Ajanni has overcome this world and he is now counted amongst the royal priesthood in the Glory of God.  Ajanni lives for eternity in Christ Jesus.  We praise God for Ajanni Cabrera's life!
