Alvin Lawrence Miller

Alvin Lawrence Miller Sr. was born in Richmond, Virginia on May 23, 1939 to Samuel and Janie Miller. He departed this life April 10, 2019.

He was educated at Armstrong High School, Virginia Union University. He served in and retired honorably from the United States Navy. 

Alvin was a kind, caring, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend who was loved by all who knew him. He was a dedicated worker and always willing to lend a helping hand.

He leaves to mourn their loss his wife, Asenathe Reaux Miller of Temecula, CA; two daughters: Sheila Clarke (James) of Richmond, VA and Anita Tanner (Donta Sr.) of Waipahu, HI; three sons: Alvin L. Miller, Jr. (preceded him in death), Andre Miller of San Marcos, CA, and Anthony Miller Sr of Murrietta, CA; 8 grandchildren: Christina Brownlow (Tim), Anthony Miller, Jr (Jennifer), Brittany Crafton, Marcella Miller, Julia Miller, Steven Miller, Shayna Crafton, Mariah Tanner, Rashod Tanner, Donta Tanner Jr., and T'Ebonie Tanner; six great-grandchildren: Madera, Skye and Ashton Brownlow, Ethan and Mia Miller, and Jamir Tanner; 5 brother-in-laws, 2 sister-in-laws; a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
