On October 5, 2021, at age 93, our beloved beautiful mother, Angela Sadie Romero Orona, surrounded by her children, grand children, and great grand children, went home to be with the Lord.
Angela was born to Alfonso and Delfina Romero December 17, 1927. She married the love of her life, Elias Orona, on November 13, 1950.
In her teens she worked at Woolworth's soda fountain in 1946, where she and her honey spend much time making many Sweetheart memories. Later years she worked as a cook for a fraternity at New Mexico State University. She was greatly loved and admired for her kindness and cooking talents. The fraternity students called her “mom”.
Angela, also served along side her husband as First Lady at the Church of God of Prophecy, during her husband’s 63 years of ministry. She was very strong in her faith, and was very talented. Angela was blessed with a God given talent. She had a beautiful singing voice. She used her voice for the honor and glory of her Savior. She served along side her husband in many church capacities including Ladies missionary director, Sunday School teacher, and other church auxiliaries. She was a blessing to her husband’s ministry.
Angela, was a wonderful loving wife, mother, grand and great grand mother. She loved unconditionally. She sacrificed her own needs many times for her family. She spent many hours down on her knees praying daily for their well being and their souls. She taught them invaluable lessons. She was a amazing and irreplaceable mother. Her last words were “I Love you”.

She is survived by her 5 children, Joel Orona, Manuel Orona, Delia Orona, Elias Orona Jr, Becky Orona Gutierrez, 1 son in law, Javier, 2 daughter in laws, Gerly, Rosin, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Bishop Elias R. Orona Sr., her parents Alfonso Romero and Delfina Romero, brothers , Joe Romero, Frank Romero, Felix Romero, Tony Romero, Alfonso Romero and her sisters, Julia Candelaria, Nora Padilla. She is also survived by her two younger sisters, Lorraine Zamora and Polly Sierra.
