TICICH, BERNARD (‘Barney’)
Was born May 16, 1924 in Weirton, West Virginia and passed away October 24, 2018 in Murrieta, CA.
Barney served in the Army and was a Staff Sargent assigned to Los Alamos, New Mexico where scientists were working on the Manhattan Project. He moved to California in 1955. He worked at Kaiser Steel in Fontana in the Masonry Department as supervisor until he retired.
Barney was active in the Knights of Columbus, Council #3672 based in Ontario, California.
He is survived by his two daughters, Janice and Gretchen, four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Jane (Betty); parents, Andrew and Marie; and, a brother, Peter and sister, Antoinette.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church located at 41875 “C” Street in Temecula, CA 92592. A rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. The graveside service with military honors will be at the Riverside National Cemetery.
