Bobbette Elaine Nauden

March 16, 1950 ~ December 31, 2018 (age 68)

Earthly Journey

Bobette Elaine (Bronaugh) Nauden was born in Danville Illinois on March 16, 1950, to Robert (Bobby) Bronaugh Sr., and Mary (Haynes) Nelson, affectionately known as Sister.   In 1956 Mary (Sister) and Bobette moved to Los Angeles CA.  She graduated from Manual Arts High School and California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  She worked in various professions as a Human Resources Consultant, Computer Programmer, and Realtor.

Bobette married the love of her life Mervin Leroy Nauden on March 6, 1976, in Las Vegas NV.  They resided in West Covina, CA, and Diamond Bar, CA before making Henderson NV their permenant residence.  Mervin a devoted husband, assisted in the caregiving of his mother-in-law when she moved to Henderson NV in 2010, to be with them until her death in 2015.  He was then faced with the devastating news of Bobette being diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia and Alzheimer’s where he continued to love and take care of her until he was called home on June 2, 2018.

Bobette accepted Christ as her Savior earlier in life before she was called home on December 31, 2018, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson NV.  She was preceded in death by her father Bobby Bronaugh Sr., her grandmother Lonella (Bronaugh) Morris, her mother Mary (Sister) Nelson.  She leaves behind to cherish her memory her sister Sheila Bronaugh, of San Antonio TX, her sister Angela (Angie) Nelson-Swearingen (Raymond) of Henderson NV, her brother Robert (Bobby) Bronaugh Jr., of Suwanee GA and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

I'm Free

Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

I could not stay another day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way,
I've found that peace at the close of the day.

If my parting has left a void,
Then fill it with remembered joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss,
Ah yes, these things I too will miss.

Be not burdened with times of sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My Life's been full, I savoured much,
Good friends, good times, a loved one's touch,

Perhaps my time seemed all too brief,
Don't lengthen it now with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and share with me,
God wanted me now, He set me free.
