Tribute

A short life well lived.

Brandon Eric Antillon came into the world on June 22, 1988. During his birth, he took his time to get here. Throughout his life, that easy-going, laid-back pace became his signature vibe.  He grew up with two brothers, one sister, and countless animals over the years.  His infatuation with all things "cats” started young from the loving house pets to endless memes.  (Please read this with “Piano Cat” softly playing in the background.) Brandon became an early adapter of leveraging the global reach of the internet to explore other cultures, communities, and online gaming.

His teenage years started with his “long hair, don’t care” chic.  Brandon’s effortless intelligence allowed him to test out of high school.  He continued his knack for learning at local community colleges, and graduated from Universal Technical Institute with a certificate in automotive mechanics and technology with numerous student awards and academic accolades.

In 2010, his love for adventure led him to serve in the US Air Force. Always adaptable, he then continued to spread his knowledge by creating “Battle Bots” competitive robots, leading him to make countless, steadfast and special friends. While working internationally on the structural surveillance of oil rigs and refineries, his love of exploring the world strengthened his desire to explore all corners of the planet. Though Brandon was a renaissance man, he was quick to see the needs of those around him and offer his unique talents and energy in whatever capacity he could. His heart was for the individual as well as having global concerns. Brandon sponsored a child through Save the World, he mentored and tutored where needed, and had an eye for the lost and the unseen, offering care and compassion.

An international man of mystery, Brandon became known for picking up haute-couture fashion everywhere he went. (In case you don’t know, “haute-couture” is the French word for camo shorts, dark hoodies, and a denim baseball cap.)  Brandon loved all things “coffee” and was our “Mikey”, always willing to try ANY food.

His quick sense of humor, worldliness and eclectic passions will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Brandon is survived by his mother Julie, father Felipe, brothers Felipe and Cameron, sister Danielle, grandparents Terry and Joanne Harstad and Edmundo and Mercedes Antillon,  numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service for Brandon will be on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Life Bible Fellowship Church 2426 N. Euclid Ave, Upland, CA 91784.  Please wear purple in Brandon's honor.
