Carole Bodger Bon, Lake Elsinore, CA

Carole Bodger Bon, 64,  joined our Lord, Jesus Christ, after her battle with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis on Feb 10, 2022. She was born March 2, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of Shirley and Melvin Bodger and later lived with her step-mother Rosalind. She was married to her husband, Ed Bon, for 24 years.

Spending time with her friends and fellow worshippers at her church and singing in the choir gave Carole great joy.  She worked for and supported the ASPCA and was an active member and group leader for the MS Society with great dedication, love and generosity. Carole’s family, friends and Chihuahuas (Mattie, Ollie, Lucy and Pewee) were the center of her world and all loved her dearly.

Carole graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Journalism and Communication.  After graduation she worked as a writer and editor for such notable publications as The New York Times, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Glamour Magazine, Working Women and Editor at Large and lead writer at Southern Indiana Business Source.  She was also a freelance contributor to Business Miami and served Associate Editor of Boca Raton magazine.

Carole’s independent ventures included Beastie Greetings, her greeting card business which combined both her writing and photography expertise.  She was an accomplished author who wrote several self-help books including The Little Book of Dirty Diet Tricks, The Smart Guide to Healing Back Pain and The Smart Guide to Relieving Stress.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-mother Rosalind and her brother Lowell. Surviving Carole are her husband Ed Bon, her brother Bruce Bodgerand his wife Suzanne Bodger of Oklahoma City, her Nephew, Jeremy Bodger of San Diego and Niece Shannon Marino of St. Louis, MO, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  We will all miss Carole and the sunshine she brought to our lives.
