Carole Ellen Laliberte

Carole E. Laliberte, 87, of Menifee, California, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2020. Carole was born September 2, 1932 in Windsor, Ontario Canada to Phylis and Harold McDougall.

She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her world.

In her early years, she attended Walkerville High School where she was a cheerleader. Soon after high school she fell in love with, and then married her late husband, Roland Laliberte. While starting their family, they decided to move from Canada to California. Carole worked as a secretary for Chrysler Motor Company, but spent the majority of her years as a homemaker for her three children. She and her husband were active members of St. Matthew Catholic Church of Corona.

In her later years, she enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren and as they grew-up, she continued to support them by attending sporting events, dance and piano recitals, graduations and weddings. Carole and her husband moved to Menifee for retirement where they enjoyed bike riding, walking around the lake, and relaxing at their pool together. Carole and Roland loved frequent visits from family as well as traveling on cruises and trips to Canada to visit family.

During Carole’s final years, she resided in Corona, California in the home of her youngest son, Daniel Laliberte. She was surrounded with the love of Daniel and his family, her caregiver, Ruth, and her darling service dog, BeBe. The entire family kept her strong after the loss of her husband 5 years prior. They would have been married 69 years on May 5th, 2020 and the family is at peace knowing that their beloved mother and grandmother has joined her “Bay” in Heaven.

Carole is survived by her daughter, Janis Zimmerman; son-in-law, Melvin Zimmerman; two sons, James Laliberte and Daniel Laliberte; daughter-in-law, Rosslyn Laliberte; eight grandchildren, Lauren, Kristy, Jaime, Brian, Carina, Carley, Brielle, and Jake; and four great grandchildren, Nolan, Daxton, Halle, and Lazarus.

A memorial service will be held on June 13, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Evans-Brown Mortuary 27010 Encanto Dr, Menifee, CA 92585.
