Catherine Teresa Potter was born on October 20,1941 in Dublin, Ireland. Born to Stephen and Kathleen Hannah she was the youngest of 12 children. Catherine passed away on April 21,2022 in Yucaipa, Ca. At the young age of 18 "Kay", as she preferred to be called, "ran away" from home to England. After living in England for a short time, she moved to Germany to care for children as an AuPair. While in Germany she met the love of her life and future husband, James G. Potter, "Jim" was in the Air Force and stationed in Germany at the time. They made their way back to America in 1963 where they were married in San Bernardino, California on June 6,1964. Kay then became a citizen of the United States on June 11,1969. They were long time residents of San Bernardino married for 47 years until Jim's passing on September 15,2011.
She is survived by her brothers, Stephen Hannah of Australia and James Hannah of Ireland. Their two daughters, Karen E. Sipler (Scott) and Melissa K. Maxey (Jeff). She is also survived by her grandchildren Erin E. Smith (Matt), Katie R. Padilla (Phil), Adam D. Irwin, Alison E. Sipler and the light of her eye Great-granddaughter Madilyn P. Smith and her beloved dog Honey.
She was full of life, love and vitality and will be greatly missed by all.
