Pastor Charles LaVerne Shaw was born May 18, 1933 in Vernon, Texas to Ed Jackson and Elnora Scott Bell. He graduated from high school and then went into the United States Army where he faithfully served his country for many years. He worked at P.W. Pipeline. Pastor Shaw was assistant pastor at New Hope Pentecostal Church. He started pastoring in the 1980’s, having church in his home. In early 1990, he began pastoring at Trinity Faith Foursquare Church. In 1993, the construction of the church was completed. Pastor Shaw was a pastor at Trinity Faith Foursquare Full Gospel Church for 25 years.
Pastor Shaw was a preacher of God’s Word. His last sermon was “God is the Judge of Righteous Judge.” The Lord see’s everything you do wherever you go; He is watching you. Pastor Shaw preached sermons at many churches. He prayed and read his Bible daily. He was a very caring man of God. He was a man of faith and valor; favored by God. God answered all his prayers. Many people were healed and delivered through this man of God’s prayers. He was a peace maker, loved his family, friends and his wife, co-pastor Bessie Shaw. He was by her side and prayed for her daily.
Preceding Pastor Shaw in death were his parents: Ed Jackson and Elnora Scott; siblings: Raymon Bell and Jimmie Logan. Pastor Shaw leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted and loving wife Bessie Shaw; his beloved children: Wendy Rodger (Tyrone), Tony Shaw, special son John Patin (Gwen), daughter Beverly Walker (Raymond). His beautiful grandchildren: Tyesha Roger, Tyana Rogers, Tyasha Roger, Torion Shaw and Peyton Shaw – his favorite and only great grandchild, Ashanti Bowie; his dear sister: Ruby M. Bell. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, close friends and church families of whom lives Pastor Shaw touched.
