Clare Ann Mitchell was born in Riverside, California on August 28, 1945. She was the oldest of two daughters born to Margaret Hilton. Clare attended high school at Palm Springs High School and graduated with the class of 1963. Shortly after high school, she joined the United States Army where she provided secretarial duties. During her military service, she met the “love of her life” Freeman M. Mitchell (aka Don), who was also in the military. They fell in love and married on May 07, 1965 in Norco, California. They were blessed with two sons: Michael and Douglas. During Don’s military career, the family traveled and lived in various foreign countries: Italy, Iran and Germany. Clare and Don enjoyed traveling and got to see and experience many places within the United States and abroad. In her free time, Clare loved shopping; shopping was a sport for her; she never shied away from a great deal. She was also an avid reader and had a collection of many books. She was kind, loving and dedicated to her husband, family, and friends.
Clare is preceded in death by her loving mother Margaret Hilton and her step-father, Louis Hilton; her loving husband whom she shared 51 years, Freeman M.
