Colleen Patricia Sepulveda was born in Milford, Michigan on June 7, 1934 and passed away in Winchester, California on January 17, 2020. She is survived by her two children Teresa Sandoval & Mark Sepulveda; 2 grandchildren Stephanie & Amber; and her niece Mary Moore.
Colleen grew up in the Detroit area before moving to Tennessee. She graduated High School in Tennessee and joined the Airforce. She was a Korean war veteran who served for 3 years and was very proud of her service. After her honorable discharge from the military, Colleen moved to California where she earned her bachelor’s degree from West LA College. She had a long career as an Executive Secretary for aerospace companies, Lear Siegler and Hughes Aircraft. Over her career, she worked on many exciting projects, including th F/A-18 Hornet Program for the U.S. Navy.
Colleen loved dancing. She was a dance instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Santa Monica for many years. She also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to be able to travel all over the world. Colleen also enjoyed eating out at restaurants. She was a very independent and even-tempered woman. Family and friends will miss her sweet demeanor, positive spirit, and happy heart.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2020 from 10 am to 12 pm at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel. The service will follow at 12 pm. Military honors will be held after at 1:30 pm at Riverside National Cemetery.
