Corinne H Porras

Corinne H. Porras of Sun City, California, passed away peacefully at home on June 25, 2021 at the age of 93.

She was born and grew up in Pasadena California. She met her future husband, Joseph Porras, while attending Garfield Middle School. They married in 1945 and were married for 66 years.  Corinne and Joe moved to the South Bay Area, Los Angeles and started their family of five children.  They retired to Victorville, California and finally settled in Sun City, California to be close to their children. 

Corinne was a fabulous homemaker and made a great home for her five children. Quick wit and a playful sense of humor were hallmarks of her engaging personality. Corrine loved to watch baseball, if the Dodgers or Angels were on she was sure to be tuned in.  Corinne was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, Menifee, California.  She will be buried next to her husband at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California

Corinne's passion for life, family, baseball and creativity lives on in her five children and their families.  Joseph Porras, Bonita, California; Jayne Lowe, Carlsbad, California; Cynthia Swanger, San Jacinto, California; Christopher Porras, Crystal Lake, Illinois; Claudia Hunter, Hemet, California as well as 12 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren.

Corinne was loved and admired by many and a celebration of life will be held July 21st, 2021.
