Tribute

Crecenciano "Chris" Macedo

On October 6th, 2021, Crecenciano "Chris" "Chano" Macedo, loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away at the age of 49.

Chris was born on November 11th, 1971 in Tequesquitlan, Jalisco, Mexico to Tomas and Florencia Macedo. As a child, his family moved from Mexico to South Central LA, California, and then a few years later moved to Lynwood, California. When he was 14 years old, his family finally moved to Riverside County, specifically the city of Temecula where Chris attended school at Temecula Valley High School and graduated in 1989. Once graduated, Chris went on to finish some college at Mt. San Jacinto College. Throughout his life, Chris was always known for his outstanding work ethic. At the age of 18, Chris began working for Milgard Windows, onto California Curves Woodwork, and finally began working at NABI, now known as New Flyer, where he worked for more than 20 years.

In August of 1996, Chris met the eventual mother of his children and wife, Linda Mendoza. In June of 1998, Chris and Linda welcomed their first child, Veronica. 3 years later, in July of 2001, they welcomed their second child, and only son Crecenciano "Chris" Jr. On October 13th, 2001, Chris and Linda married. 5 years later, in November of 2006, they welcomed their last child, Mariyah. Chris and his family built their life and lived happily in the city of Lake Elsinore.

To those who knew him, Chris was a hard worker, a giver, and an all around family man. He truly loved his family, and would do anything for those who needed help. He will also be remembered by his beautiful green eyes, infectious smile, and his subtle laugh.

Outside of family and work, Chris dedicated countless hours to coaching Lake Elsinore youth basketball, Lake Elsinore Little League baseball, and Elsinore Valley Thunder football.

Chris is survived by his wife Linda, his children Veronica, Chris Jr., and Mariyah, his mother Florencia, his brothers and sisters Tomas, Betty, Jose, and Laura, all of his nieces and nephews, and his many tios and tias.
