Cynthia Lee Hernandez

Cynthia “Cindi” Lee McArthur Hernandez, age 56, passed away April 12, 2020 after a courageous two-and-a-half-year battle with cancer.  She was born September 1, 1963 in Lynwood to Kathy (McArthur) Zirker and Steve McArthur and raised in Southern California.  

Cindi wasn’t simply full of life; she was a beautiful expression of life! 

Her sparkling, animated personality lit the room and enchanted all who encountered her during her exciting, sometimes madcap journey through life.  Her enthusiasm encompassed many hobbies and interests which included painting, drawing, writing, music, dancing, cooking, hummingbirds, and Beatle tribute bands.  And,  wherever Cindi went, the party was on.

She deeply loved her friends and family, especially her two daughters, Tiffanie and Amanda Hernandez and her three adorable grandchildren, Ariel, Junior and baby David.

Cindi is further survived by her fiancé, Mark Matranga, who tirelessly cared for her during her illness, her sisters and brother Desiree McArthur, Juliet McArthur Ryan, Brandon McArthur, and by her cousin, Renee Gallego and many other relatives and countless friends.

Throughout her long battle with cancer, her faith sustained her, and it is appropriate that she chose to leave us on Easter Sunday to be in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

We will miss her energy, her positive attitude, and her beautiful smile forever.

Cindi, we will remember you always for the full, busy, life you lived and the happiness you gave to others. Rest in peace. Your pain and suffering have been replaced by the love of the Lord.
