Dana Gail Stallings

Dana Gail Flynn Stallings was born in Berkley, California on April 2, 1942. She was the youngest daughter of Faye and Henry Flynn, and the younger sibling to twin sisters Kay Barzon and Frances Flynn. She lived most of her life in Southern California, and passed away in Menifee, California on September 27, 2017.
Dana is survived by her husband Chuck Stallings; son Milton Simpson; stephchildren Ed Stallings, Charles Stallings, Jr., and Shelly Hayes; Sisters Kay Barzon and Frances Flynn; “favorite”nieces Luana Giffen, Tarita Milliron, and Selena Wray, and nephew Lionel Barzon; and several great nieces and nephews and step grandchildren.
Professionally Dana worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District and Centinela Valley Union High School District for many years before retiring. She was an active volunteer and belonged to many charitable and social clubs, including the Red Hat Society, Sun City Travel Club, and Women’s Club, among others. Dana had a tremendous heart for helping others, and throughout her lifetime dedicated thousands of volunteer hours to causes near and dear to her heart. She could often be found at the Sun City or Temecula library teaching computer classes for local residents. In doing so, she was given many certificates in recognition of her dedication to volunteering. She also enjoyed public speaking, traveling, searching for bargains, and supporting her husband Chuck’s passion for softball.
Dana was a very faithful and down-to-earth person that will be greatly missed. A viewing will be held on Tuesday 10/10/2017 from 2 – 5 p.m. at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel. A funeral service will be on Wednesday 10/11/2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel with graveside services following at 11:30 a.m. Reception to follow at Evans Brown Sun City.
