David Lynn Kasad, 80, died in his home in Lake Elsinore, CA. He died, as he chose, at home, no doctors, with his wife of 34 years, Vicki Kasad and his three children, Darin Kasad, Dawn Miller and Dallas Kasad at his side.
David was born in Santa Ana, CA on February 20, 1940 to Clifford Lamar Kasad and Eva Lena Kasad. His youth was spent in Orange, California where he attended Emmanuel Lutheran School and Orange High School.
He served his Country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Princeton LPH-5 at Long Beach, CA as an Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class; where he was Honorably Discharged with a Good Conduct Medal. After his military service, he worked in a number of fields including carpet laying and cleaning, UPS delivery and swimming pool cleaning and repair. His final and most important duty before retirement was serving as “Mr. Mom” to his youngest son, Dallas.
He is survived by his wife Vicki Kasad of Lake Elsinore, his sister Bonnie Smith of Central Point, Oregon; his son Darin Kasad of Strawberry Point, Iowa; his daughter Dawn Miller of Lake Elsinore and his son Dallas Kasad, currently serving in the U.S. Navy; and 8 grandchildren, Lauren, Christopher, Catherine, Jennifer, Steven, Joseph, Khloe and Evalina; niece Karen Smith of Brea and Nephew Daryl Smith of Murrieta.
Due to current Cemetery regulations because of the Covid-19 Pandemic the Cemetery, service will be by invite only. Graveside services with military honors will be held at Riverside National cemetery at 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday June 30, 2020. The family encourages all that could not be at the cemetery please join them for reception that will follow at the family home in Lake Elsinore.
