Deloris Derouen

Deloris Derouen was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 16, 1943 to her loving parents General Hawkins and Amanda Smith. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 22, 2019 in Perris, California.

Deloris moved to San Diego, California at the young age of 7, she attended school and graduated from Lincoln High School. Went into cosmetology and was a hairdresser for many years, then went on to work for Rubbermaid where she retired in Carson, California after working for 20 years.

In 1967, Deloris met and married Raymond Derouen and together they shared 49 years together. They were blessed together with 4 children Raymond Jr., Colleen, Raymond Andre and Monica. Deloris was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family at gatherings, cooking and taking fun trips to San Diego. She will always be remembered for all the love she gave to her family and dedication she had to her family.

Deloris is preceded in death by her loving husband Raymond Derouen and her parents General Hawkins and Amanda Smith.

She leaves behind to cherish and live on in her memory her two sons Raymond Jr. and Raymond Andre; her two daughters Collen and Monica; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; other extended family and many friends.

There will be a celebration of Deloris’ life dates and times pending.
