Dolores M. Hollingsworth, age 98, passed away in her home on Tuesday May 15th, 2018. Born in Waco Texas to Whit E. Harris and Miriam Blankenship. Graduate and Student Body President of Leuzinger High School, Lawndale, CA class of 1937.
She worked in the dental industry for the majority of her life. There she met, trained and formed lifelong friendships with Ms. Marilyn Baker and Mrs. Carole (Punky) Farmer and Dr. Michael Mclay.
She is survived by her son Ed Cleveland, daughter-in-law Mary Jane Cleveland, son-in-law James Neill, stepson Michael Hollingsworth and stepdaughters Harryl Hollingsworth and Holly Hatton, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her 3 husbands: Edwin Cleveland, Richard Merrick and John Hollingsworth, her 4 siblings, her daughter Mary Elizabeth (Cleveland) Neill and her grandson Michael Neill.
A force of nature, she worked hard, collected antiques, refinished furniture, traveled the world, outings to the casino, and gave new meaning to shopping with an eye for fashion while always securing a deal or discount. Her door was always open to the neighborhood kids. Sharp as a tack and generous to a fault. She will be missed.
