Dorothy Rose Hiemstra

Dorothy Rose Hiemstra was born in Sioux City, Iowa on July 13, 1940 and passed away at home in Canyon Lake, California on March 28, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.  Dorothy is survived by her 8 children Shelly, Lori, Frankie, Randy, Louis, Kelly, Doug, & Laura; 13 grandchildren Dillon, Dawn, Sadi, Dusty, Charlie, Kristine, Michael, Tommy, Danielle, Louie, Josh, Sara, & Marissa; and 5 great-grandchildren Brandon, Memphis, Emily, Jasmine, & Jayden.  She was preceded in death by her husband Don Hiemstra.

Dorothy was an extremely loving person to anyone who knew Her , loved to be part of her life, she was a gracious hostess who loved to have family gatherings and host beautiful holiday events. Her family was her treasure in life. She had a great sense of humor and was such a creative person. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, crafting including scrapbooking and on the weekends, she loved antiquing, fishing and walking the beach.

A celebration of her life will be held in a private ceremony with her family.
