Obituary
Edward Lawrence Davis Jr. was born in Galveston, Texas on December 08, 1946 to his parents Edward L. Davis Sr. and Ruby Jewel Hawkins. He passed away peacefully at the age of 71, in Loma Linda, California on Sunday, April 08, 2018.
Edward Lawrence Davis graduatded from Dorsey High School in 1964, then went on to attend trade school at L.A. Trade Technical College where he certified as an Electrician. He enlisted in the United States Army from 1966 to 1968. On November 10, 1971 Edward married Janet Walker in Los Angeles, California and together they shared 43 years together until her passing in 2014. They were blessed with three daughters Malaika, Zlima, and Maya. Edward enjoyed working as an electrician and carpenter, in his free time you would often find him working on different projects. He loved watching basketball and carving woodwork. He will be remembered for all his hard work, and the love and dedication he had for his family.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Janet Davis and his sister Grace Hill. He leaves behind to cherish and live on in his memory his loving daughters Malaika Davis, Zlima (Rocky) Hall, and Maya Davis; three grandchildren Makhi Hall, Zaire Hall and Zariah Hall; two brothers Michael Sasser and Rodney Sasser; three sisters Jackie Davis, Regina Davis and Sharon Davis; a host of nieces and nephews and many friends.
