Edward C. Hoffman

Ed passed away peacefully at home in Menifee, California on July 14, 2018 with his wife, Lucy, at his side.  He was born at his family ranch in Susanville, California on June 14, 1929.  His parents were Clarence and Wilma, and he had a sister, Ardith Lovejoy  who preceded him in death.  He attended UCDavis, then joined the Army where he served two years in the Korean War. He was discharged as Sergeant First Class and became a business owner of a plumbing company before retiring to his ranch. 

He had two children, Kurt (wife Cindy Hoffman ) and Diana (husband Rick Tolliver); two grandchildren, Rachel Tolliver and Nikki Hoffman, by his first wife, Rita Zoglman.  He married Lucy Bodensteiner in Reno in October of 2002.  He had four step children, Scott Bodensteiner, Brooke Morri with her husband Dave Morri, Todd Bodensteiner with his wife Amy Bodensteiner, and Jill Spencer with her husband Grant Spencer; 9 step grandchildren Drew, Davis and Charlie Morri; Nathan and Tyler Bodensteiner; Ayla and Ellie Bodensteiner; Croix and Koral Spencer.  He loved playing cards, tennis, and golf.  He will be sorely missed by all of his family and friends.  He was sweet, kind, a comedic, intelligent and a true gentleman.
