Ella Mae Slife

Ella Mae Slife was born on March 5, 1924 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2021 at the age of 96 in Corona, California. Ella was the matriarch of our family with a loving heart and a great listener to what you had to say. She is survived by her daughter Pamela (Slife) Sierra and son-in-law John Sierra; grandchildren; Nicole, Andrea, Irene, Michele, great grandchildren; Camryn, Jorge, Noah, Brittney, Chantel, Michael, Kyle, Niece; Patsy (Kimm) Lyons, Nephews; Jerry Kimm, Steve Slife. She is preceded by her husband Devere (Dee) Slife, daughter Diana (Slife) Kruis, son Donald Slife and grandson Donald Jr. Slife.

Ella loved when her family came to visit and always made everyone’s favorite food. She loved having Thanksgiving and Christmas at her home and would bake all of the pies, cakes cookies and candy while Dee would make the food. Ella and her husband Dee were members of the Activators square dance group. They did a lot of dancing and camping with their group of friends. Ella and Dee liked traveling in their truck and trailer and camping out in the many different States. Ella loved sewing and made many special things for her family. Ella sewed her own square dance dresses and also for the ladies in her square dance group. She loved doing all kinds of crafts.

The family would like to thank Ella’s caregivers Bobby, Muriel and her sister Zeny from the Inspiration Home Care for their love and care for Ella in the last 4 years and to Alicia and GHC Hospice in the last few months.

Ella will be loved and missed by her family. Ella will be cremated and her urn will be taken home and placed beside her loving husband Dee to be together forever.
