January 14, 1960 ~ May 11, 2017 (age 57) 57 Years OldShare Tribute:
Elva "China" Contreras passed away on May 11, 2017, in Menifee, California with her family by her side. She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico to her loving parents David and Raquel Contreras on January 14, 1960. She was raised in El Paso, TX, Santa Ana, CA, and Perris, CA. “China” as she was known to those who knew and loved her, was a devoted mother to her nine children Bernadine, Desire, Jamie, Eugena, Anthony, Jennifer, Xavier, Selyna, and Tony; a grandmother to 15 grandchildren; and a soon to be great grandmother. She was also a loving sister to eight amazing siblings David, Monica, Tavi, Gabriel, Juanita, Gloria, Rosa, and Carlos.
China was the life of the party; she will be mostly remembered for her smile, bluntness, and craziness in life. She always was there for her nieces and nephews; she was a tia who accepted everyone as they were with no judgement and always had an open door and a open heart. She was wild and down to earth; always knew how to make people laugh and was a great friend. China was known for her long, beautiful black hair; for her strength and independence as a woman who knew how to live life to the fullest, and her love for everyone. For anyone that met her she was definitely a person that you’ll never forget.
Elva is preceded in death by her sister Monica Contreras, brothers David Contreras and Tavi Contreras; and a granddaughter Marylin Areola Endicott. She leaves behind to cherish and live in her memory her loving children Bernadine, Desire, Jamie, Eugena, Anthony, Jennifer, Xavier, Selyna, and Tony; her siblings Gabriel, Juanita, Rosa, Gloria, and Carlos; a host of nieces and nephews, her partner Benjamin Estorga, and many friends who love and will miss her.
