Frances L Kahl

Frances Lucille Ludwig Kahl, 91, passed away peacefully at home on September 4, 2020 in Murrieta, CA, due to natural causes.

Frances was born in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan, and was one of thirteen siblings, whom she loved very much.  Intelligent and hard-working, she worked as a cashier until her marriage to David Kahl in 1953.  Soon after, they moved to California, where they raised a daughter and two sons.

Frances remained a strong, independent woman her entire life.  She enjoyed a vigorous lifestyle and liked to stay active with her church, travel the world, and spend time with her friends and family.  She would bake gingersnaps, banana bread, and lemon pies every year.  She liked to keep her mind active with crossword puzzles, kept up with current events, and even at 90 years old enjoyed following her family on Facebook.

After surviving a difficult stroke, Frances relocated to an assisted living facility.  She kept her sense of humor and continued to remain active, frequently walking briskly around the facility and earning the nickname “Roadrunner” by the staff and residents.  She was happiest when visited by her children and grandchildren, and maintained her sense of humor up until the very end.

She is survived by her oldest son, David Kahl (Pam) of Petaluma Ca, her only daughter, Sue Kahl Wesolowski of Menifee, Ca, and her youngest son, Patrick Kahl (Debbie) of Menifee, Ca, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four sisters, and many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid-19, the family will not have a public gathering.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and thank the staff of Brookdale Senior Living in Murrieta, Ca, and Hospice of the Valleys for their continued attentiveness and care.
