Tribute

Fred Langley Jr., (the eldest of 10 sisters and brothers) was born May 2, 1934 to Aggie Mae and Fred Langley in Camden, Arkansas.

He attended Lincoln High School, where he played a trumpet in the school band; He had a love for music.  He furthered his education at Kansas State University, Topeka Kansas.

Fred accepted Christ at an early age.

Fred married Erma Jean Jones (deceased) and to this union 2 daughters were born (Sheryl deceased and Annette.

He moved to Los Angeles and worked for Bonds Clothing Store for 18 years.

He met and married Heloise Reed Langley and to this union two daughters was born Cynthia and Kim.

In 1975, he joined the Community Baptist Church under Rev. E. Boyd Esters and in 1985 was called to preach and was ordained.

Fred loved to play his trumpet and would play for different programs at the church.

Fred was later employed by Bank of America, where he became executive Chauffer, where he drove and traveled a lot.

He had a great love for fishing and could be found on a lake with his wife Lois and brother Robert he loved it so much.  Fred and Robert bought a boat and loved to catch Blue Gills.  They both had mobile homes and would travel from lake to lake.

In 2006 he began to go through dementia, where he began to battle demons. From this, his life took a turn and was never the same.

Those who precede Fred in death Mother (Aggie Mae) Father (Fred) Sister (Eurene Hurd) Son (Robert) Daughters Sheryl & Dorothy, Brother ( Jerry).

He leaves to witness his home going wife Heloise (Lois) Langley, son Richard (Kitty) Killeen, TX), daughters Annette Clark (Glen), Downey, CA, Cynthia Wheeler (Stan), Lancaster, CA Kim Robinson (Chip) Menifee, CA.

Brothers -  Willie Langley, Atlanta, GA; Curtis (Thalia) Langley, Virginia Beach, VA ; Bobby Langley, Los Angeles, CA; Robert Langley (Cynthia) Lawrenceville, NJ  Sisters – Louise Jackson , Virginia Beach, VA; Gladys Nettles (Greg), Camden, AR; Amy Johnson, Camden AR.

Twelve Grandchildren- Ebony, Brittnee, Krishawana, Merrell, Lawren, Jazzmine, Branden, Corrinthain, Domique, Jessica, Bristol and Jade.

Great-grands – Ayden,  Amyhia, Brandon, Heaven, Kohyh, Royalty and Wisdom.

Special Cousin – Mae Jackson, Oakland, CA and a host of relatives and friends.
