Gary was born on July 16, 1933 in the California Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He went through school in Gardena, California. He graduated from High School and the enlisted in the army with his friend George, who he since the age of 14. His other school friend Gerald Griffin, whose nickname was Griff. They were all lifelong friends. Gary’s military service was during the Korean War, however he was stationed in Oklahoma. He was released from service in January 1954. He went to Harbor Jr. College and then met Shirley in the summer of 1954. They were married in January 1955. Gary went to the University of Southern California where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Anthropology. He went to computer school with his sister, Donna. He worked with computers until his retirement.
Gary had 4 children, 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren that he loved very much. Gary belonged to a shooting club with his best friend George and they were involved with that for a long time. He also joined the prospectors club of Southern California. They went digging and panning for gold, without much luck.
In Gary’s life he tried many things. Scuba diving, water skiing, fishing, hunting, camping, snow skiing etc. Gary was so sweet, a good husband and a wonder father, grandfather and great grandfather.
