Genesis was born October 25, 2015 at 2:29 on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Loma Linda University Medical Center, Murrieta CA. Instantly after birth we knew she was not doing well. My daughter was then transferred via ambulance to Loma Linda Children's Hospital. I had a decision on staying to rest or going to the NICU with her and, of course My motherly intuition I left to be with her. We remained there for 2 whole months Following picc lines, X-rays, numerous IVs, oxygen machines, EEG monitors etc. I grew worried and thought maybe she won't ever make it home. After a bunch of tests she was able to come home with a final diagnosis ARX Gene mutation in which caused lack of oxygen to her brain and malformations. She also wasn't able to eat by mouth, and came home with a gastronomy tube, oxygen, breathing treatments, & anti epileptic medications. She was home for a couple of months and we had a lot of doctors visits. My mom always helped me she was my rock through these hard times. I gained strength as did Genesis. Her last months we were back and forth to the hospital. Some days I wouldn't even come home and spent most of my time with my baby girl. Genesis's last admission to Loma Linda children's hospital I noticed she was no longer being taken care of how she was supposed to be she was abused and her hair was yanked and had bold spots. I then took her to Rady's children's hospital because she was struggling to breath her brain injury had made her to forget to breathe at times. Her last days were peaceful and she was taken care of much better than loma linda. Genesis I fulfilled my heart immensely. She was beautiful beyond words can ever describe. My mom and I were her personal nurses.
