George Mouratidis was born in Furth, Germany on February 16, 1963. He was the younger of two children born to Pavlos Mouratidis and Eva Vrostos. He was hardworking; he loved his job at the US Postal Service and had two side jobs as a driver for a flower shop and a donut shop. He is remembered for being a good-hearted, very honest, man who always worked to give as much as he could. He had such a big heart and beautiful spirit. Sadly, George passed away suddenly on May 26, 2019 in Corona, California.
On September 1983, he left Germany, came to the U.S., and resided in Illinois. He then moved to California the following year. In 2004 he was blessed with his son George Jr. and, a few years later, his daughter Cheyenne. He was a business owner of several hamburger restaurants until he started working at the Post Office. George enjoyed spending his time with his family, going to the movies, playing games, working on his car and fixing up things around the house. You would always find him with a smile on his face.
George is preceded in death by his parents Pavlos Mouratidis and Eva Vrostos. He leaves behind his two children George Jr. and Cheyenne, his sister Elisabeth, his nephew and godson Xenophon Paul Hassold, his great niece Alyssa Hassold, his great nephew Nathan Hassold, his work family and many friends.
Our family would like to thank everyone for all their love and support during this difficult time. We also want to thank the U.S. Post Office in Lake Elsinore, Wolfee’s Donut Shop and Gerryann’s Flowers for all they have done, especially for George. He will always and forever be in our hearts.
