Gerald Kermie Dedeaux was born September 29, 1948 in Pasadena, CA to Carl and Vitelsia Dedeaux. He was the fifth of six children. Early on in his childhood, the Dedeaux family relocated to Perris, CA where they made their home on Dedeaux Lane.
While at Perris High School in 1962, Gerald first met his wife-to-be and lifetime love, Helene. After graduating from highschool in 1966, Gerald went on to serve in the U.S Army and bravely fought in Vietnam.
Soon after his return, Gerald was hired at Southern California Edison. Starting as a lineman and finishing his career as a District Supervisor, Gerald dedicated forty-five years to his work.
In 2014, Gerald retired and enjoyed a slower pace. In his freetime, Gerald enjoyed the outdoors. He loved golf, fishing and taking his R.V. out on the open road to camp. While at home, he prided himself on his barbecue skills and loved listening to music while sitting in the backyard.
On April 26, 2022, Gerald passed away. He is survived by his wife, Helene Dedeaux, his children Amanda Dedeaux and Alexander (Stacy) Dedeaux, his grandchildren Ymani Dedeaux Briggs, Alexander Dedeaux II, Lauryn Dedeaux and his grandpups Bruiser and Tank-Tank. He also leaves behind brothers, Carl, Ralph (Nancy), Rudy (Judy), sister Audrey and sister-in-law Barbara as well as a host of family and friends that will keep his memory alive. He joins his daughter, Christina Dedeaux, son Gerald “GiGi” Dedeaux, granddaughter Jasmine Dedeaux and brother Keith Dedeaux in heaven.
A final salute burial service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on the 18th of May to honor the life of an amazing man who left a mark on all our lives.
