Hill Douglas Robinson was born in Monroe, Louisiana on September 22, 1943 to parents W.T. Robinson & Winnie Atkins-Robinson and passed away at home in Menifee, California on January 11, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Yvonne Robinson; five children Robin Robinson, Tanisha Middleton, Jason Robinson Sr., Raven Robinson, & Nikenyia Wallace Robinson; 10 grandchildren Shadd, Ashton, Alexander, Lazarri, Amari, Brooklynn, Jason Jr., Jadyn, Skylar, & Dayshia; 9 great-grandchildren; and his Siblings Angela, Dolores, Bobby, & Sandra Kay. He was preceded in death by his brothers Andrew, WT Jr., Lusker, Thomas, Johnny, & Edward.
Hill attended Carroll High, then graduated from college. He proudly served his country for five years in the U.S. Navy wherein he was stationed on The USS Valley Forge and valiantly fought in Vietnam. He then went on to be in the Reserves for three years and worked for the Union for over 30 years. Hill had many hobbies over his lifetime, which included music, fishing, and collecting coins & jewelry. Hill enjoyed cars too and always made sure his car was clean. He also loved sports including NASCAR, going to the horse races, playing tennis, and watching the Lakers & the Rams. He cherished the many years he spent coaching his children’s various sports teams.
Hill was the type of man that treated everyone he met with respect. He served as a mentor for many people over his life. All that knew him will miss his outgoing personality, joyful spirit, and ability to fix anything.
