Indalecio Montoya

Indalecio M. Montoya was born in Guanajuato, Mexico on May 15, 1921. He was the first born to Dionisio and Piedad Montoya. Indalecio came to America under the Bracero Program. After establishing himself as a legal resident, Indalecio began working as a dairy milker in Santa Rosa, California.

Indalecio married Clara on July 07, 1956. They had five children: George, Diana, Indalecio Jr., Pearl and Ronny.

Indalecio and Clara began a grocery store business in Southern California and prospered for over 30 years. Indalecio was a great provider and loved his family. He had a knack for fixing things with a hammer, nail and duct tape. 

Indalecio is preceded in death by Clara F. Monyoya and Diana F Montoya. He is survived by his children George Montoya Indalecio Montoya Jr, John and Pearl Lopes, and Ronny Montoya. grandchildren: George Michael Montoya, Zachery and Jessica Lopes, Alexander Lopes, Maximilian Lopes and Deanna Montoya; great-grandchildren: Jason Montoya and Alexa Montoya.
