Irene Olivia Hoffman

June 28, 1950 ~ November 29, 2023 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Irene Olivia Hoffman, a beacon of love and strength, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2023, in Murrieta, California. Born on June 28, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, Irene's life was a tapestry woven with passion, spirit, and a deep-seated love for her family and friends.

Irene, a proud native of the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles, was a graduate of Holy Family High School in Glendale, California. Her formative years were spent surrounded by a large and lively family, one of nine children who grew up learning the value of kinship and the joy of shared experiences. These early lessons in family dynamics later became the cornerstone of her own approach to life and love.

For 15 years, Irene dedicated her professional skills to Gilead Pharmaceuticals in San Dimas, California, where her strong-willed and candid nature made her both a respected colleague and a cherished friend. Outside of her professional life, Irene's interests were as vibrant and varied as her personality. She met her beloved husband, Robert Hoffman, through a serendipitous friendship with his twin sisters, and together they embarked on a journey of love that would span 51 joyous years.

Irene's home was her sanctuary and a hub of activity; she was all about family, creating an environment where everyone felt welcomed and cherished. Her daughters, Amie Abila and Katie Hoffman, were the lights of her life, and she had a remarkable gift for making them feel special every day. Her love extended to her four adored grandchildren, Jake, Evan, Jaxson, and Dillinger, who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.

Creativity flowed through Irene's veins, and she found solace and delight in making jewelry. Her hands, always busy, crafted pieces that were as unique and beautiful as the life she led. Irene's love for the beach, tending to her succulents, and her thrilling trips to the casino, where she reveled in the sounds of slot machines and the occasional strategic game of Blackjack, were a testament to her spirited nature.

A woman of great passion, Irene was loving, caring, and accepting of others, traits that endeared her to many. Her candidness was matched only by her capacity for love, and she was renowned for her ability to celebrate life's moments, big and small. Holidays and family gatherings were her forte, occasions she transformed into cherished memories with her infectious enthusiasm and warmth.

Irene's legacy is one of unconditional love and the celebration of life. She was a great mom, a devoted wife, a beloved grandmother, and a loyal sister. Her absence will be deeply felt by her husband, Robert; her daughters, Amie and Katie; her grandchildren; her four siblings; and the many nieces and nephews who were blessed to know her. Irene's spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, her memory a guiding light of love and passion.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, and three of her sisters, all of whom she now joins in eternal rest.

Irene's life was a beautiful journey that inspired all who knew her. Her loving, passionate, and spirited nature will be forever remembered and deeply missed. As we bid farewell to Irene Olivia Hoffman, we celebrate the indelible mark she has left on this world and the countless lives she enriched with her presence.
