March 18, 1922 - June 5, 2020. Also known as Gabriel or Gabby to his family, he passed away at his home in Menifee. Born in Riverside, he grew up in Casa Blanca. A World War II Navy veteran, he served shipboard in the Gilbert and Marshall Islands campaigns, and then on to the forward bases of Eniwetok, Kwajalein, and Ulithi, as the war progressed. After the War he settled in the San Fernando Valley with his beloved wife Grace and children, building cars for General Motors. The family moved back to Riverside in the late 1950's where he worked in construction, and later started his own landscaping and gardening business. They retired to "The Hill", their place overlooking Sun City, where they spent many happy years. He was preceded to final rest by his wife of 72 years, Grace, (Stella), and his sons John and Gabriel. He is survived by his youngest son Raymond, Grandsons Anthony, Jess, and John, Granddaughters Trissia, Marissa, and Christina, Great Grandson Jess, Great Granddaughters Vanessa and Khari, Great Great Granddaughter Aria, and Daughters-in-law Rosalie and Jenny. He is being laid to rest at Riverside National Cemetery.
