Joan B Taylor
“Memaw”
Born May 14th 1934
Graduated to Heaven October 22nd 2018
Joan is survived by her daughter, Mitze McCurry and son-in-law Howard McCurry of Perris, and a son, Terry Taylor-Kincaid of Kerrville, TX and a brother, John Hyde of Pflugerville,TX. She was blessed with four granddaughters and a grandson – Teri Kersten and husband Ryan of Orange, CA, Carissa Briska and husband Clint of Perris, CA, Robert McCurry and wife Alicia of Lake Elsinore, CA, Johnna Wright of Lake Elsinore, CA and Taryn Kincaid of Marion, IA, in addition to 7 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joan was a true “Texas Bell”, born and raised there for the majority of her life. She loved the Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs. Baking, fishing, gardening, sewing and reading were some of her favorite things to do when not spending time with her family or at her church.
For the past 20 years, she resided with Howard and Mitze at their home in Perris, CA. Joan attended Cornerstone Community Church in Wildomar, CA where she was quite active and well loved. Almost anyone there who knew her had been a recipient of her baking. She was also known as “the dancing granny” for her love to sing, dance and praise the Lord during worship services.
In Joan’s final days here on Earth, she let it be known that she “was going to her glory” and was ready to sing and dance in Heaven. I’m sure she received quite the welcome in Heaven. While saddened she is no longer here with us, our hearts sing to know we will sing and dance with her again someday in Heaven.
If you wish to make a donation in the name of Joan Taylor in lieu of flowers, please send to her church where the funds will be used for scholarships and needs for the youth group. These middle school and high school kids were quite dear to her.
