John Henry Russell

Our beloved John Henry Russell, 86, was born October 27, 1934, in Durant Oklahoma.  In John's younger years, he was a musician, then joined Local 250 Pipefitter/Welder's union.  He was a member for 50 years.  He worked for Associated Pipe for 20 years; he became an instructor for the Local 250 Apprenticeship Training Center for 15 years; he co-owned, with Luann's brother, Jerry Stephenson, a pipe fabrication business for 10 years. 
 
His favorite things were golfing, bowling, telling jokes, laughing, and family.  John was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Forbes and his son, John Russell. John is survived by his loving wife, Luann, and his four daughters, Vicki Fraser, Valerie Hanners, Johanna Jakositz, and Tricia Papka; also two son-in-laws, Gerry Papka and Chris Jakositz.  John is survived by eight grandchildren: John Jr., Alex, Bryan, Lindsey, Aaron, Alyssa, Brockdan, and Trenton; and seven great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts.
