Joshua Allen Ruder

Joshua Allen Ruder of Menifee, California, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the age of 38 years old.

Joshua Allen Ruder was born on June 30, 1983, to Richard Allen Ruder and Virginia Goddard Ruder Hutsell in Tucson, Arizona.  After Josh graduated from Temescal Canyon High School where his first jobs were at the Canyon Lake Restaurant and at Albertsons, and where he also excelled in wrestling, he went on to have a successful career in construction.  He had his first job at Yeager at the 5/805 project as a heavy equipment operator, kickstarting a successful 20-year career in construction.

In 2000, Josh met Jennifer Elizebeth Biggerstaff Ruder at Temescal Canyon High School where he was her Prom date that year.  They met again in 2008. In 2012, Josh and Jennifer went on to have Piper Virginia Ruder, 9, adding to Josh’s family of daughters, Kaedence Ann Sheffield, 16, and Breanna Rae Lucille Sheffield, 15.   Josh and Jennifer were married on December 13, 2014.

Josh was a passionate man who enjoyed time with his family and friends, especially outdoors. He loved camping, especially taking the RZR out for a drive.  King of the Hammers was a favorite of his.  He loved to take his family on road trips all over the United States.  He loved his family, his dogs, his friends, and his country.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Goddard Ruder Hutsell, grandmother, Thelma Louise Goddard, and grandfather, Charles Wayne Goddard.

He is survived by his wife Jennifer Elizebeth Biggerstaff Ruder, his daughters Piper Virginia Ruder, Kaedence Ann Sheffield, and Breanna Rae Lucille Sheffield. His father Richard Allen Ruder, his sister Starla Dawn Ruder Anderson, his brother-in-law Nick Anderson, his nephew Gideon Anderson and his niece Emily Anderson.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Josh on June 11th at 10:00 am.
