Juliana “Julie” Jeanne Mann, 77, of Menifee, California, died Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at the Life Care Center of Menifee.
Cremation will take place at Evans-Brown Mortuary, under the direction of Justin Luyben. A family Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at New Hope Community Church, Canyon Lake, California.
Julie Jeanne (Schwanke) Mann was born October 15, 1941, in Valparaiso, Indiana, to Jack Jerome Schwanke and Carolyn Jeanne Edwards. She is a graduate of the Iowa Business School, Iowa City, Iowa. She married Richart Lee “Dick” Mann in 1961, in Vinton, Iowa, and they were later divorced in 1975. She was employed by Deere and Company in Moline, Illinois for 14 years taking an early retirement in 1983. Moving to San Diego, California, she was later employed at General Dynamics, Rohr Industries, and TRW Aerospace. She later moved to Palm Springs, California in 1989 and was employed with several firms managing country clubs and resorts until moving back to San Diego in 1998. She later retired from employment with Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and retired to Menifee, California, in 2011.
She was an avid golfer all her life and a member of the North Golf Course in Sun City area of Menifee. While living in Menifee, she enjoyed the company of her family, particularly her grandchildren, and was an avid sports fan, going to as many basketball, football, soccer, and baseball games as she could. She enjoyed family outings, picnics, and loved to go fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms. She worshipped the Lord with her church family at New Hope Community Church in Canyon Lake, California.
Julie is survived by her four children and spouses, Scott and Debra Mann of Menifee, California, Bradley and Barb Lopez-Mann of Deale, Maryland, Stacy Mann of Moline, Illinois, and Jason and Allison Mann of Costa Mesa, California; nine grandchildren, Lindsey Mann and Amanda Saugstad, Kalie and Alex Gould, and Tyler Mann and Alyssa Payne, Brittnie Larson and her fiancé Craig McDowell, Owen and Emma Larson, and Henry, Hudson, and Harper Mann; four great-grandchildren, Izaiha, Jayvon, and Jayce McDowell and Nathaniel Scott Mann. She was preceded in death by her parents Jeanne and Richard Woods (Vinton, Iowa) and Jack Schwanke (Albuquerque, New Mexico).
