Katherine Aniol

Katherine (Kathye) Aniol was born in Chicago on January 27, 1951. She died gracefully on the afternoon of October 26, 2017 in her home in Lake Elsinore, California surrounded by friends and family.   Before taking her last breath Kathye opened her eyes and blessed the family with a great smile when she saw her youngest grandson sitting on his father's lap. Kathye is survived by her husband, three children, two grandchildren and countless friends and family.

Her death was caused by complications from ovarian cancer which she had bravely fought against for eight years. Despite the physical limitations of her health she was a long standing community advocate for the citizens of Lake Elsinore. During her thirty two years as a resident, Kathye served in multiple capacities wherein she was honored for her services with six certificates from state representatives and community officials. Kathye was the founding president for the PTSA in LEUSD and served continuously on PTAs even after her sons had graduated. She was among the principal organizers of the “Unity in the Community Parades” and served on the board of the Lake Elsinore Little League for over thirty years. Kathye's mark on her family, friends, and the citizens of Lake Elsinore will never be forgotten.
