Kathy Ann Roberts, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2023, in Menifee, California. Born on December 24, 1948, in Fall River, Massachusetts, Kathy was known for her warmth, friendliness, and loving nature that touched everyone she met.
Kathy was raised in Fresno, California, and graduated from Tracy Joint Union High School. She was a dedicated student and her commitment to education laid the foundation for her successful career. Her work history spans across various industries, from insurance to medical, and later finance, showcasing her versatility and commitment to service.
She began her career in the insurance industry, transforming challenges into opportunities with her resilience and hard work. She then moved to the medical field, working for many years at FHB in Fountain Valley, where her empathic nature and dedication shone through. Kathy ended her career in the finance industry, serving as the Executive Director of Operations for a Financial Services company for 20 years. Even after retiring, she remained active in the business world, assisting her husband Marc Fowler in operating his company, "Marketing Unlimited."
Kathy's interests were as varied and vibrant as her career. A proud Raider's fan, she enjoyed the thrill of the game and the camaraderie it brought. Kathy loved the beach, finding peace and joy in the rhythm of the waves. She was an enthusiastic rider, often seen cruising in her husband's 1960 MGA Roadster, and loved going on long walks. Kathy had a deep love for animals, cherishing the companionship and unconditional love they provided.
But perhaps the most significant aspect of Kathy's life was her ability to connect with people. She was extremely friendly and had the gift of talking to anyone, making them feel seen and heard. She had a knack for brightening everyone's day with her radiant smile and infectious positivity. This trait earned her the affectionate nickname “Uncle Kathy,” reflecting her belief that uncles always got away with more, an indication of her playful and spirited nature.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, Marc Fowler, her loving son, Brian Roberts, and her siblings James, Tom, Sandi, Jack, and Tammy. She also leaves behind her nieces and nephew, Erinlea McGowan-Moniz and Sam Moniz, who will remember her fondly.
