Lani Erbito Nord

Lani Erbito Nord, a loving wife, devoted mother, and a woman known for her kindness and adventurous spirit, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2023, in La Jolla, California. Born on July 25, 1971, in the Philippines, Lani lived a life enriched by love, laughter, and a deep appreciation for the beauty found in everyday moments. 

Lani is survived by her beloved husband, Adam Nord, and their three children, Hannah, Ryan, and Liam Nord. She also leaves behind her caring mother, Alicia Erbito, and her two brothers, Eric and Ernie Erbito. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her love for her family was evident in her actions and her words, and she instilled in her children the values of kindness, respect, compassion, and hard work.

Lani's professional life reflected her commitment to helping others. She spent eight rewarding years as a teacher, nurturing young minds and helping to shape the future. After leaving her teaching career, Lani dedicated her time to her family as a homemaker. She created a warm, inviting home filled with love and laughter, where friends and family were always welcome.

Lani's interests were as diverse as they were numerous. She enjoyed hiking, often leading her family on adventures and instilling in them a love for the outdoors. She loved nature and her happy place was being at the beach.  An avid karaoke enthusiast, Lani's infectious laughter and enthusiasm made her the life of any gathering. She was also a passionate photographer, never failing to capture life's precious moments and the world's beauty through her lens. Hosting parties was another of Lani's gifts, and she was known for her ability to create memorable events filled with joy and camaraderie. Her culinary skills were a highlight at these gatherings, and she was known for her delicious cooking that brought comfort and happiness to all who enjoyed her food.

Lani's life was characterized by her loving nature, kindness, and adventurous spirit. Her love was unconditional, her kindness was genuine, and her adventurous nature was inspiring. Her zest for life and her uplifting laughter always brightened the day of all those around her. She created a life filled with love and joy, touched countless lives, and left an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Her passing is a tremendous loss and leaves a feeling of emptiness to those who knew and loved her. Yet, her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the love she shared.
