Loida Lucero Gillo, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on May 5, 2023, in the Philippines. Born in Cavite, Philippines on December 29, 1964, Loida was known for her radiant smile, infectious laughter, and warm embrace. She was a compassionate soul who cherished her family and friends and was deeply devoted to her faith.

Loida is survived by her loving husband, Sammy Gillo; her three adoring daughters, Allysha Mae Gillo, Sharmaine Anne Gillo, and Marianne Lynette Gillo; her parents, Mar and Carmelita Lucero; her sister Chona Mejia; and her brother Mark Lucero. Her family was her pride and joy, and she took every opportunity to shower them with love and attention.

After attending college for two years, she embarked on a career that would ultimately lead her to work for Abbott Vascular in Temecula, California, as a technician. Loida's dedication to her work and her commitment to excellence made her a valued member of the team.

In her free time, Loida enjoyed shopping, playing bingo, and dancing with friends and family. She had a passion for good food, often sharing her favorite dishes with those she loved. Loida's sense of humor was one of her most endearing qualities; she was always ready with a joke or a funny story to lighten the mood and make others laugh.

Loida's faith was an integral part of her life, and she was a devout Catholic. She was a member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church, where she actively participated in the Filipino Ministry and the Our Lady of Fatima prayer group. Loida's unwavering devotion to her faith was evident in the way she lived her life, always putting others before herself and offering a helping hand to those in need.

Those who knew Loida will remember her as a loving, funny, and passionate woman who made a lasting impact on the lives of those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will cherish the time they spent with her and the lessons she taught them.
