Lorraine Dee Powers was born in Memphis, Tennessee on September 12, 1940 and passed away in Murrieta, California on March 3, 2021. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Al Powers; daughter Sheila (Bryan); two grandsons Cameron & Carson; Brother Tom Blake; Sister Barbara Thornton; and many nieces & nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her twin sister Loretta and her parents Harvey & Irene Blake.
Lorraine was a Devoted Wife, Mother and Grandmother. She possessed a very determined mind, always accomplishing what she endeavored. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting and loved horses. She was very religious and an active member of St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church. She also enjoyed her time with the Medjugorje Prayer Group. Above anything, Lorraine loved being a Grandma to Cameron & Carson. Her feisty spirit, loving heart, and determined mind will be missed by all.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 28 from 1 – 5 p.m. with a rosary at 4 p.m. at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent Ferrer with interment to follow at 1:00 p.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.
