Lorraine Patricia Melton

Lorraine Patricia Melton “Pat” was born in San Francisco, California on October 21, 1929 and passed away at home in Murrieta, California on May 4, 2022.  She is survived by her six children Sheila Stamper (Larry), John Melton (Sandy), Suzanne Smith (Craig), Michael Melton, Thomas Melton (Sheila), & Teresa Gill (Rex); 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Harold Melton; and two children Paul & Aileen; and daughter-in-law Sharon.

Pat was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.  Her greatest delight was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved serving and socializing with her church family. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, reading, and shopping for her grandchildren. 

A viewing will be held at Evans Brown Sun City Chapel on Tuesday May 10, 2022 from 11 am – 3 pm.  A funeral mass will take place at St. Martha’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10 a.m.  Private interment at Riverside National Cemetery.
